One of the most underlying problems in any work force, companies, segments, industries or culture is dealing with difficult people. Granted the word “difficult” means different personality types for different people. This is a universal problem that we will have to learn to deal with, well at least for those of us who have to work for a living. We the “ordinary” working class folks don’t have the privilege to choose and surround ourselves with those whom we tend to get along with or can work well with. Often time’s employees decide to endure or “put up” with a difficult co-worker because they are fear full of losing their job or not getting a good year-end performance evaluation review. This is not only a work related problem, but how do we deal with people in school, at home, in our family, or even friends? Each one of us has our own unique personality that we bring to the table, so what can we do or how can deal with difficult personality types?

This post is exactly why I don't miss working. I hated dealing with people and the many different personality .....So is this blog purely for school...
lol - yes this is purely for school(MGT 3120) however, you can still read and comment on my posts. Yeah that's a tough one for me... I understand the need to network, to work as a team, to have "human skills" and "emotional intelligence" as my professor would say, but there are just some people that you don't get along with no matter what... For instance, the "guilt by association" dilemma, if you associate yourself with someone that one of your coworkers doesn't like... he/she then start to treat you differently. I find that to be childish and annoying to say the least. The other problem that occurs is, imagine going into work everyday... trying to acknowledge a coworker who doesn't even care if you exist, by saying "good morning" and that person doesn't say anything in return... do you still try to communicate with that coworker or do you just ignore them? I feel 1/2 the times these issue arise, it's just not necessary.
